These past few weeks have been kind of hectic; all of the in-bound exchange students have returned to their home countries and all of us out-bounds are getting ready to leave to our host countries.
Selfishly, I wish all of the in-bounds could have stayed. They were such an amazing group of people. They taught me so much about other places around the world that I didn’t know before and given me so many other opportunities and experiences that many people do not get. I have gone shopping together with a group of girls from Japan, Taiwan, and France, I have been the guitarist in killer band on Rockband with a singer from Argentina and a bassist from Mexico, I have danced for an audience of hundreds with the Japanese In-bounds, And I have been a part of rotary D5100’s “One big family”, consisting of almost one hundred kids. It has been such a great experience and I feel so lucky. This year would not have been the same without the in-bounds; they have brought happiness to everyone around them. I wish them the best back in their home countries and for the future.
It is strange to think that in a month I will be living in a foreign country. I am really excited and anxious to go, but it hasn’t really hit me yet that it is actually happening. Maybe because I haven’t found out my first host family, or actual departure date. Although, I know there are many people that are working very hard for all of us to have this opportunity, so I try to be patient and not think negatively about it. I want to see how much I have improved and how different things become from start to finish. I know that living in Japan will be much different from my life now, but I have only had a small taste from “short-term exchange” so I am anxious to know how different it will really be. I think I will feel better once I know the details. I will try not to worry ‘till then. ^^
It’s weird to be writing a blog. Although, I don’t think many will have much interest in reading it, so mostly it will be for me to write about my exchange and have something to look back on. It will probably be a nice release to use English every once and a while when I’m away as well. haha
I am truly grateful to have such an amazing opportunity.
I hope you will support me throughout my exchange too,
またね!☆
